Out Patient Services :
These include department of Medical Gastroenterology and Hepatology and on an average of 600 patients attend these services every week . All relevant blood tests endoscopy and radiology procedures can be carried out on O.P basis in ambulatory patients and those not requiring admission .The services run from 8AM to 11PM.
Endoscopy Services :
Asian Institute of Gastroenterology is world reknowed for its endoscopy services , both in terms of quality and turn over . The World Organization of Digestive Endoscopy (OMED) has designated Asian Institute of Gastroenterology as a centre of excellence for GI endoscopy- a honor shared with only few centers in the world . About 95,000 endoscopic procedures have been performed yearly for the last 8 years since institute shifted to its new premises . These include about 5,000 ERCPs yearly � making AIG the centre with the highest turnover in the world . Being a tertiary referal centers patient come from all over the country and abroad.
Besides providing services to these all patients the endoscopy unit is also a well know training centre for both basic procedures and advanced therapeutic endoscopy techniques.

A number of International Masters in the field of Gastroenterology and endoscopy have visited AIG for interaction with our consultants.
Day Care Services :
These include 25 bedded day care centre where patients were admitted for evaluation , minor procedures and discharged on the same day.
In-Patient Services :
AIG has provision for 280 in-patients which include
Medical Intensive Care unit (MICU) � Medical Gastroenterology emergencies such as GI bleed, hepatic coma, severe pancreatitis, acute abdomen etc.., are admitted in the MICU with round the clock monitoring and availability of qualified doctors and personal at the bed side .Facilities for ventilatory support, renal and liver dialysis are available in the MICU.
A 30 bedded ward where room charges and Doctors fees are exempted is available for the lesser privileged and deserving patients.
