Official Positions	President, Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India 2012- 2013 President Indian Society of Gastroenterology, AP Chapter 2009. Member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy International Committee 2012-2018. Appointed as Inspector for the accreditation of DNB Course in India by the Diplomate National Board. Examiner for DNB Gastroenterology exit examinations. Thesis guide for Gastroenterology fellows Visiting Professor to University of Mandalay Myanmar.
Areas of Interest	Gastroenterology-Therapeutic Endoscopy with special interest in Role of Extra Shock Wave Lithotripsy in Biliary and Pancreatic Calculi
Faculty	Invited faculty at International and National Workshops and Conferences on Endoscopy and Gastroenterology over the last 25 years. Awarded Orations at both International and National Annual conferences. Delivered key note addresses at these meetings.
Publications	Over 240 publications, Original articles, abstracts, reviews and articles in index journals and text books. Reviewer for high impact journals.
Training program in Endoscopy	Trained over 1000 trainees in basic and advanced endoscopy procedures. This includes trainees from South East Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe and the USA besides India. Awarded the ISG J Mitra Endoscopy Award for the year 2011 for contribution in the field of GI endoscopy. This is awarded annually by the Indian Society of Gastroenterlogy to one endoscopist for outstanding contribution to the development of Endoscopy in India. Awarded the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) International Service Award for the year 2020-2021. This is awarded annually for outstanding contribution to the field of GI Endoscopy. Conferred as Master of Indian Society of Gastroenterology by Indian Society of Gastroenterology 2022.
Awards & Achievements	Pre M.B.B.S. : S.S.L.C. Awarded National Merit certificate for merit in S.S.L.C examination Intermediate: Awarded National Scholarship for merit in Intermediate examination. During M.B.B.S : 1st M.B.B.S: Passed with distinction and first in the University examination (Osmania University) of October 1972. Awarded: Andhra Bank Gold Medal for standing 1st in 1st MBBS K.M.C. Warangal. 2nd MBBS: Passed with distinction in Physiology and stood first in University examination ( Osmania University) of May 1974. Awarded: College Gold Medal for standing first in college in May 1974. 3rd MBBS: Passed with distinction in Forensic Medicine and stood first in University examination (Osmania University) of December 1975.
